After completing my education in business and marketing, I took a zig-zag path to become an Event Planner. I began my career as a Practice Manager, building two medical practices from the ground up. Business development, brand strategies, project management, and profitability were my jam- and they still are.

During that time, I fell in love with wine, and that’s when my career took a delicious turn. I immersed myself in winemaking, taking a year-long hands-on winemaking course under Pinot great Norm Yost. I formed relationships within the industry, which led to helping winemaker friends throw pick-up parties. I focused my career in a different direction, taking a position in the non-profit sector that had me learning on the job how to run one of the largest beer festivals in California at the time, the California Festival of Beers. Utilizing my project management and profitability background, I led the festival through 3 of its most profitable and popular years. It wasn’t long before I formed my own festival production company, Create Promotions, which produced such events as Bubblyfest, La Fete du Pink, Winter WonderSLO, Bruegala, and Bacon & Barrels.

Never one to sit still, I branched out and developed Air Shows for Hangar 24 Brewery and spent time as a morning show radio host on the popular Up and Adam Show. My love of wine brought me back to the winery. As the Event Planner for Tolosa Winery during the peak era of COVID-19, I fell back on my prior experiences in festival planning and permit management to re-tool and rethink the event experience in the safest manner possible. When most of the industry was not holding events or holding them safely, Tolosa Winery was successfully forging ahead in new ways- including virtual.

Additionally, my background includes venue management and business development for the hospitality industry. With a unique point of view of the guest, vendor, and venue, I draw upon been there, done experience in my decision-making and coaching.
